Community Coordinator

Seasonal, Hourly Role

At Terra Innovations, we specialize in residential, commercial and industrial real estate development, as well as innovative home design and spec building. As developers, we’ve also grown into new and emerging industries, including vacation rentals, private aviation, storage, and beyond. The opportunities are infinite at Terra Innovations. 

 

Job Brief:

As a community coordinator for Terra Innovations in Benzie County, Michigan you’ll be responsible for cultivating, growing and nurturing our community relationships in the region. It’s an exciting opportunity leveraging your personable, dynamic, collaborative and communicative traits to help us build our business in the Northern Michigan region. You’ll be the chief representative for Terra with our vacation rental guests and also be responsible for building our network of vendors and partners for all Terra business endeavors in the area. This is a seasonal role, available from June 1 through September 30, 2024 and likely for future seasons as well.

 

Vacation Rental Responsibilities:

  • On-call local resource for questions about the home
  • Provide concierge services and recommendations as needed (private chefs, dinner reservations, questions about activities in the area).
  • Coordinating check-in/out times with renters, scheduling check out cleans and daily cleans (as requested)
  • Be on site to welcome guests and provide tours of home and property
  • Cleaning home as per schedule requirements
  • Restocking home stock: Paper products, water, welcome baskets and gifts
  • Managing home inventory: Sheets, towels, kitchen stock, etc.
  • Process management: Creating SOPs for cleaning, stocking, etc.
  • Facilitating property management needs: Plumbing, breakage, lock boxes, deep cleans, inventory management
  • Striving to achieve five-star ratings for all rental guests

Terra Business Responsibilities:

  • Supporting senior management team members with administrative requests
  • Assisting with developing processes and installs of other Terra homes
  • Provide Michigan business updates to Terra team members
  • Facilitate tasks requests (FedEx, Post Office, general errands)
  • Help maintain and update equipment
  • Visit and tour new properties and take notes/photos as needed
  • Support Terra’s Michigan team (project managers, real estate brokers, and more) with tasks

Community Coordinator Requirements:

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to think quickly
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
  • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Flexible schedule to manage rental calendar and business demands

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid hourly with weekly hours varying between 20-30 hours per week. Hourly rate will be competitive and commensurate with experience, between $20-25 per hour.

 

Reporting Structure:

You will report to Christa Weaving, Head of Marketing and Jon Gallagher, Project Manager.
